Not able to spend quality time with husband due to job and MIL's interference.

Asked by Female, 29, Married
Mine is a love marriage. We got married this year against the will of our parents. But problems started few months in the marriage. I work In night shifts and my husband is currently jobless. Managing time is a challenge for us. To top it all, my mother in law does not like me and tries to create problems for me.

Hello Writer,

Thanks for reaching out to the Askmile team with your concerns about your marriage. It is a tough thing to accept that your dreams about marriage spoiled after a few months. With lot of expectations you agreed to this marriage but now find that your dreams are shattered. It is a very disturbing experience and we are here to help you to understand yourself and your marriage.

There are a number of issues that I notice in your mail. You along with your husband agreed for the marriage in spite of objection from the family. Do you mean both families objected to the alliance?

You work during night shifts and time management is a major problem. Your husband is jobless. What does he do normally in a day? Was he jobless at the time of marriage too? If he is jobless how does he manage his finance?

And you say your major problem is the mother-in-law who hates you and spoils your life. Does she live with you? What does she do to create unhappiness in your marriage?

Tell me a little more about your family and his family. Are they supportive to understand your struggles? Do you have any friends with whom you can share your pain?

Respond back with further details so that I can understand your situation better.
